What’s on my needles?

I’ve had 8 balls of Rowan Scottish Tweed Aran in my stash for a few years now; I made a skirt with it and bought extra because I loved it so much. Finally I found a free top down pattern on Ravelry: The Seaside Cardigan by Denise Ann, and after knitting a swatch I was confident that I could substitute Scottish Tweed. I have adapted the pattern slightly (as I always do!) and will probably knit the body and the sleeves a bit longer. The best thing about top down knitting is that you can try it on as you knit and with this pattern there will be no sewing the pieces together when you’ve finished knitting. I really love how it is turning out so far! Although Rowan Scottish Tweed has been discontinued you could substitute Summer Tweed which comes in lots of great colors and is probably more apt for this Seaside Cardigan!
