Long cardigans: they are everywhere. From fine and floaty to textured and chunky. All the stores seems to have a version but……why not knit your own? Rowan’s latest magazine, number 62, has eight different designs to choose from and if you haven’t got a copy of this, their latest magazine, I am giving one away.
First, check out all the long cardigan designs and see what you think…….

Sweeting: knitted in Kid Classic, a blend of 70% wool, 22% mohair and 8% polyamide. Designed by Lisa Richardson.

Eventide: knitted in Kid Classic, a blend of 70% wool, 22% mohair and 8% polyamide and featuring repeats of beads in a star pattern. Designed by Lisa Richardson.

Gloaming: knitted holding a strand each of Kidsilk Haze, a blend of 70% mohair and 30% silk, and Fine Lace, 80% alpaca and 20% wool, together. Designed by Lisa Richardson.

Mellow: knitted in Kid Classic yarn, a blend of 70% wool, 22% mohair and 8% polyamide. Designed by Sarah Hatton.

Nightfall: an oversized cardigan featuring an intricate pattern with beads, knitted in Kid Classic, a blend of 70% wool, 22% mohair and 8% polyamide. Designed by Martin Storey

Marr: a uniquely patterned cardigan in two shades of Alpaca Merino DK, a super soft blend of 83% alpaca, 10% nylon and 7% wool. Designed by Lisa Richardson.
I do like Sweeting and would love to knit it in the shade Feather, the white/cream colour.
The Giveaway!
To enter the giveaway all you have to do is answering the following question:
What yarn did I use to design and knit up my Zebra Mittens, pictured below?
You’ll find the answer somewhere in my blog posts.
Send your answer to me by clicking on the ‘Contact Me’ link below.
The competition is open to all my subscribers and will close on Wednesday 11th October 2017 at 4pm US Mountain Time (11pm GMT). One winner will then be chosen from the correct entries.
Please do not leave your answer in the ‘comments’ section at the end of this post as that will make it visible to everyone …… and we don’t want to giveaway the answer until the competition is closed. Goodluck!

Long coats look great on the models, but please do not forget we are not all tall, thank you.
But the great thing about being able to knit is that you can shorten the length to fit your smaller frame!
