Another twist to Kidsilk Haze: Kidsilk Haze Glamour

I am a crazy Kidsilk Haze fan. I have knitted many garments using this gorgeous yarn from elegant sweaters to scarves and shawls. Look at me on the left wearing the Birch Shawl (available from Rowan as a free pattern to download) that I knitted in cream Kidsilk Haze. Well now Rowan have added yet another fabulous addition to the Kidsilk Haze family: Kidsilk Haze Glamour. It is a blend of super kid mohair and silk with a thread of sequins, just perfect for something sparkly to wear to a Christmas family gathering or a Holiday party when you want to look extra glamourous. It comes in eight colors and I fancy making a shawl or maybe an elegant cardigan in Blood or Wicked……I can’t decide yet! Maybe I could make both?

Scarves and shawls are fantastic accessories and I think you can never have too many of them. What other accessory can be worn at any time of the year whatever the weather. Besides my cream Birch Shawl I also knitted an oblong shape wrap using two ends of Kidsilk Haze in Flower, a lovely pink color. So maybe a dark colored shawl would be a great addition to my collection. I love the idea of the pattern seen here on the right designed by Louisa Harding: it is a throw, a scarf or a cravat. Rowan has just released three free patterns as part of the launch of Kidsilk Haze Glamour, which includes this pattern. If you’re an intermediate knitter why not give one of them a go.
